Morning everyone! I’m writing this at about 7am so I may be a bit asleep still but I just wanted to welcome you all to A Little Off Beat (ALOB)!
Here at ALOB, we aim to be the #1 online piano lessons resource as well as the best place to go to find things about how to play music. Eventually, we’d like to expand it out to a bunch of new stuff but we’ll start with the basics.
Start over at the Beginner’s Guide (Parts 1 and 2) if you’re looking to start learning piano. You’ll find some useful information on the whole process.
I’ve also got some resources being built that will include a glossary of terms, a free beginner’s practice sheet (if you’re not into taking a full set of lessons), reviews, and more.
How to Become a Guest Blogger on ALOB
I’ll be attempting to fill in this blog but if you are interested in Guest Blogging as a chance to share some of your thoughts and ideas and get your own name out there then please give me a shout!
Here are the topics I’d love to cover in any potential Guest Posts:
- Piano performance
- Piano and general music composition
- Bands that feature the piano
- Cool music industry news (not pop culture)
- Cool new songs or videos about piano or featuring piano
- Piano and music related infographics
- How to learn music and music pedagogy (teaching)
- Indie songs, songwriters, and one-(wo)man shows
- Anything else that fits into these descriptions!
Please contact me with a short email about your idea, putting “Guest Post Idea” into the subject, a brief background of yourself in a few sentences, then the idea and a brief outline of the article.
If I like it, I’ll let you know and you can write it up and send it to me! I will only accept unique content, and I will be checking so please don’t send me anything from another site.
If you already have something already written, please still send me just a brief email as described above; this will help me cut back on reading and time managing the site while I can finish up the lessons!
Thanks and Talk Soon!
Thanks for checking us out guys and we’ll see you soon.
